Ron Tate

A real estate industry leader and innovator for over a half century, Ronald (Ron) Tate has established a record of success as remarkable for the breadth of its activities as it is for the depth of its expertise.  Since 1974, Mr. Tate has been involved in the ownership and development of more than 200 real estate and development projects encompassing more than 7,000 residential units and 5 million square feet of commercial space.

Initially as successful broker, Mr. Tate’s achievements included founding the first real estate brokerage firm in Northern California with an all-women staff of real estate agents.  He also founded and operated a successful property management company.

During the 1960’s, Mr. Tate began acquiring income producing properties for his own portfolio, and he also began subdividing land and syndicating income producing properties for a select group of investors.  Subsequent ventures into development proved to be so fortuitous that by 1974 Mr. Tate had sold both his brokerage and property management company to focus full-time on real estate development, joint ventures and equity gap opportunities.

Mr. Tate has founded and led many companies over the years including Silicon Valley Diversified, Enviro Diversified Development and Tate Diversified Development where he still serves as president.  He is also active in the technology and bio tech community holding advisory and leadership positions with Fonemine, Hunter Labs, Hunter Heart, Future Concepts, and Eagle Eye Technologies.

Today, Urban West embodies and enjoys more than 50 years of Mr. Tate’s experience and capabilities in many diverse ventures and activities.

Mr. Tate resides in Saratoga with his first (and only) wife Linda and labradoodle Cabo.  He enjoys weightlifting, meditation, spinning, yoga and is an ardent advocate for healthy eating and lifestyle.

Nicole King

Nicole King joined the Urban West team in November of 2013.  Her dream has always been to work in high end residential development.  If you look through any of her school binders from kindergarten through college, all you will find are floor plans for herself and her classmates.  Charging classmates for floor plans covered her lunch money through Junior High.

In 2009 Nicole graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design with a concentration in Interior Architecture.  She then got a job with a small institutional architecture firm based out of Sebastopol, CA.  There she designed a 30,000sf middle school in San Bruno, and designed/managed several school modernizations ranging from $300,000-$8,000,000 around the Bay Area.  She then switched to a Construction Management company out of Sonoma, CA also specializing in school construction. There she got a better understanding of the construction world, and managed school projects ranging from $200,000-$21M.  She managed architects, engineers, clients, inspectors, contractors, project approvals, etc.  Due to her design background, she was able to design projects, act as the general contractor coordinating all sub-contractors, while managing the schedule and budget.

In 2013 Nicole took a chance and applied to join the Urban West team, since high end residential has always been her dream.  Nicole currently helps coordinate the construction for Urban West projects; scheduling subs, getting into contracts, submitting projects to planning, building, etc. for approvals, scheduling inspections, coordination between architects, engineers, and consultants.
